Cannon House Tours in Delhi

Come take a tour of the Cannon House on Saturday, April 9 between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Learn about the rich history of Delhi.

Henry Cannon was born in Delhi on September 27 in 1850. He is a direct decedent of Peregrene White, the first child born on board the Mayflower at Plymouth Rock in 1620.

On April 9, 1918, he established the Cannon Free Library as a memorial to his parents, George Bliss Cannon and Anna Aliza White Cannon. Henry died on the spring of 1934 and is buried at Woodland Cemetery in Delhi.

The Cannon Library Trustees have provided the Cannon House for the location of the Delhi Historical Society. Please come a take a tour!
